Lynx is pleased to announce the acquisition of Creative Surfaces Inc.

October 2, 2023 – Toronto, Ontario/Sioux Falls, South Dakota – Lynx is pleased to announce the synergistic acquisition of Creative Surfaces Inc. (“the Company”), a manufacturer, distributor, and installer of commercial casework, countertops, and signage. The Company was founded in 1988 by Ted and Bev Pins and over the years, Creative Surfaces has gained national recognition as one of the main providers of signage and casework for the gaming, automotive, hospitality and fitness industry. Creative Surface’ product offerings are highly integrated which enables the Company to be a one-stop shop for its customers and its main facility is equipped to fulfill the needs of ongoing, multi-scope projects that require the processing of wood, metal fabrication, and electrical work. 

The acquisition of Creative Surfaces is the first of its kind for Lynx, as it enters the gaming industry for the first time. Additionally, this acquisition will bolster Lynx’s presence in the manufacturing and signage spaces, already occupied by various sister companies located throughout North America. Lynx has been able to leverage this prior knowledge throughout the due diligence process and will continue to do so by providing operational support and seeking synergistic opportunities for the purpose of sharing the most effective business practices.   

Judson Pins (Jud), son of Ted and Bev Pins, took over the Company’s operations and ownership in 1994. For nearly 30 years, Jud has been the Company’s President and sole owner; he manages the sales team and oversees the Company’s business strategy. Jud is also supported by strong management which has enabled Creative Surfaces to expand its customer base and increase manufacturing offerings by adding two facilities to its overall capacity.

This transaction was facilitated with buy-side legal support from Lynx's internal counsel, accounting services by Deloitte Canada, and tax due diligence by MNP.
