Who Acquired Facebook PMD Majestic Media?

A Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer changed hands late last week, as Majestic Media, which is based in Toronto, announced that it was acquired by Toronto-based private-equity firm Lynx Equity. Terms were not disclosed.

Majestic Media was founded in 2008 by Managing Director Mario Zelaya, who said in a press release announcing the transaction:

I couldn’t imagine a better fit for us than Lynx. Its team and vision is perfectly aligned with how I imagined Majestic growing over the next five years. I’ll be working very closely with Lynx to acquire other companies in the marketing and technology space. It’s going to be a very exciting time for Majestic and Lynx. It’s only going to help Majestic better service our clients with different offerings.

Lynx Partner Dustin Mandel added:

We are thrilled to acquire a world-class, multinational brand. This is a new platform for Lynx, and we look forward to the tremendous potential for growth within this space.
